This home is very almost completed-
A full renovation project, with House of Kitchens being the head contractor, myself and my crew were called in to handle the roof.

We cut a section of existing roof loose, slid the entire section (tiles and all) foreward over the new build, and then built in new trusses and covered up the now open section over the client's study. - thank you Chris Botha from Prolink Hydraulics for supplying us with the hydraulic jacks needed to press this heavy section of roof into its new resting place.

We followed up with fresh black paint, and also built in a low profile patio roof adjacent to the pool. Next we will do a neat little deck and a ceiling detail underneath.

Last week we had a very welcome break from our roofing projects-
We sorted out some tatty edging around this swiming pool. Old tiles off, cleaned up and re-installed with the correct adhesive for this purpose. We also added in a sleek looking stainless trim. (Yes- you spotted correctly 👀- the detail on the far side had to slope up, as per clients request, in order to line up with existing patio tiles)

The pool can now be topped up to the correct level and enjoyed.

It is always tricky to finish off projects this time of year. In stellenbosch however, when the students leave over december, we have an ideal oppertunity to take on other interesting challenges.

This week we are busy in the (mostly) empty parking spaces at East Lynn. We have potholes to repair, road markings and parking bays to paint for +- 70 units, parking barriers to install and various other small repairs around the property

Nothing pretty to show just yet, but our client experienced a leak throught their ceiling downstairs. Failed flooring as a result of terrible carpentry skills on their wooden floor.

Inbetween our roofing projects we have on the go,
House of Kitchens will design the finishes and sort the tiling on this one, Kyle Soule will do corrective works to the terrible wooden structure (re grid rafters at with correct spacings and install new marine ply flooring), we will follow up with waterproofing and re-plumbing the necessary fixtures into a new section of nutek drywalling at the shower.

Full home Reno time!
We have been quite busy up the mountain. We are doing a complete roof remodel for our client up in Erinvale. Large sections of roof removed, and new sections built in..We have been contracted to design and fabricate the new trusses, perlin gridwork and installation of new diamondek clip system roof sheeting.

We have been quite busy over the last few months at a beautiful rental property in Pringle bay. Working around the ever changing booking schedule has been a challenge, but we have finally managed to complete our scope of works.

Another area renovated :
From a simple back yard with a pool, to a lovely outdoor entertainment space.
We built these concrete benches to the clients specifications, as well as a fireplace (which can easily double up as a braai, if they so choose). We also replaced pool copings and re-paved the area with beautiful (and very heavy) porcelin paving slabs...

This week we are replacing soffits and facias on a beautiful old building at the Bilton wine estate.
Oregon beams and clearly OLD clay brickwork, it is such a priveledge to leave sweat behind on a 200 year old building.
