PROJECT COMPLETE

A little more shade. A little more shelter. A whole lot more usable outdoor space.

For this project, we installed a subdivided pergola and outdoor roofing area to give the client more covered space and better use of the outdoor area.

A solid, practical upgrade that makes a big difference to how the space can be used throughout the year.
Measured. Built. Installed. Done.

What looked like an easy fix on paper turned out to be anything but.

Once we started chipping away at the cracked section, it quickly became clear that the massive crack we could see on the surface was only part of the story. There was a much bigger issue hiding underneath.

PIVOOOOOT.

Back to the drawing board. Back to the structural engineer. And onto Plan B.

It is one of those jobs that reminds you why you cannot always know exactly what you are dealing with until you open things up.

The plan has changed, but the job continues.

Gardening is not usually on our list of services, but apparently we have a few hidden talents.

While we were busy with the actual project we were called in for, we needed to help our client make this little corner look a whole lot more appealing.

So, naturally, we jumped in.

A serious clean up, some fresh soil, new planting and a good layer of mulch later and it is already looking like a completely different space.

Still some growing to do, but progress is looking GOOD.

Maybe we will stick to renovations and maintenance for now though.

T H R E E YEARS 👋🏼👏🏻

Today we celebrate three years of CI Hermanus.

Three years of hard work, growth, learning and showing up, even on the difficult days. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but thankfully, far more ups than downs.

What started as a small business with a big dream has grown through determination, long hours and the support of every client who trusted us with their home or project.

To our family, friends, suppliers and clients, thank you for every recommendation, every word of encouragement and every opportunity. Your support has helped build CI Hermanus into what it is today.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have come, grateful for every lesson along the way and excited for everything still ahead.

Progress at our Botrivier project.

The new ceilings are in, the skimming is complete, the cornices are going up and painting is well under way.

We are nearing the end of this complete house ceiling replacement, and the transformation is taking shape.
Out with the old and in with the new.
