The iconic JBay Surf Fest returns to the shores of Jeffreys Bay from 11 to 20 July 2025, promising ten exhilarating days of surfing, music, sport, and lifestyle entertainment.
One of the most anticipated events on South Africa’s winter calendar, the Surf Fest brings together professional athletes, music lovers, families, and outdoor adventurers for a coastal celebration unlike any other.
Anchored by the prestigious Corona Cero JBay Open, a Championship Tour event on the World Surf League calendar, the festival will see the world’s top surfers descend on the legendary Supertubes break.
Surf action can run from 07:00 to 17:00 with the World Surf League making a daily call on whether the waves are good enough to run the event.
The Corona JBay Open is open to the public at no charge, with live screenings, commentary, and food trucks in the Supertubes Park. The legendary Casa Corona is always a great place to catch all the action in the water if you dont feel like chilling on the beach and soaking up the vibe.
Multiple events taking place all over Jeffreys Bay
But the surf is just the start of the Surf Fest. Each day features a vibrant line-up of events across multiple venues, including live DJ sets and local culinary experiences. Sport screenings like the Springboks playing against Italy and Georgia, family activities, and sunset beach entertainment are all on offer for festival goers this year.
The Surf Fest will also activate at venues all over Jeffreys Bay, offering MTB and trail runs, a Funduro, fishing competition, touch rugby and beach volleyball. Don’t miss the Jiu Jitsu Take down that will be happening at Mentors Plaza as well this year.
