SELF-CARE TIPS (Part 2 of 3)
If we are going to look after ourselves, we need to ensure that we are healthy. A healthy body is better able to cope with stress. Exercising does not have to be strenuous. You can walk the dog a few times a week, go on a hike, join a yoga or pilates class, go for a brisk walk……there are so many ways to get moving. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which make you feel good.
Healthy eating is also important. Make a list of what you eat on a weekly basis and see where you can make improvements. What can you cut down on, what do you need to eat or drink more of, and keep a log of this for a few weeks until it becomes the norm.
Our physical health and our mental health are intertwined. The way you feel influences the way you think.
