A common mistake that people make is to paint over the area they've just painted, in effect lifting off the paint they've just applied. The trick is to paint in a "W" pattern. That way you're not painting it on and taking it off.
Work your way back across the “w,” without lifting the roller and fill in empty patches until that section of wall is fully covered. Continue, adding more paint to the roller as needed, until the whole wall is painted. You're welcome.
