With and festive season sales already here, it can mean crowded conditions at the stores and malls. If you are taking your children along, talk to your children in a positive manner about “what if” safety scenarios before going shopping or to a public event.
✅Teach your child to always check with you first before they separate from you.
✅Always supervise your children in public spaces and accompany young children to the restroom.
✅Have teenage kids meet you in a pre-designated spot (for example, the sales counter or mall information booth).
✅Don’t treat public facilities as a “convenient babysitter.”
✅Do not under any circumstances leave your children alone at video arcades, movie theatres, play areas, or other public places.
✅A trip to the shopping mall with children can be overwhelming and with the blink of an eye, it is possible for children to get lost in a maze of shops and crowds of people.
⚠️Be vigilant and always keep an eye on your children.
