Sad factor is that we turn to be all excited about how much we've spent on things that should probably come last or of no importance, than being excited about how much one has managed to save up in a month towards their important goal.

Imagine saving up most of the cash that's currently spent on things you don't really need and can live without?

You'd be able to put down a good deposit on a house, or even pay it off quickly. You'd afford to pay off your good debt and be financially free.

Peer pressure contributes a lot to poverty and this is all because of ones irresponsibility and minimum level of discipline as well lack of money management skill.
