Job Description
KAT Vision is looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Router Operator & Designer to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC routing machines to cut, shape and prepare boards and Perspex accurately according to drawings and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC router machines efficiently and safely
• Design components and layouts for cabinetry, furniture, and custom projects
• Prepare and edit CNC cutting files (DXF / CAD / CAM)
• Read and interpret cutting files, drawings and measurements
• Set up materials, tools, and cutting paths accurately
• Work with materials such as MDF, melamine, chipboard, plywood and Perspex
• Ensure precision, quality and minimal wastage
• Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
• Meet production deadlines and output targets
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Requirements
• Proven experience operating a CNC router machine
• Strong design and programming skills
• Experience with CNC and Design software
• Knowledge of CNC software and file handling (e.g. DXF, CAD/CAM)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of workshop safety standards
• Carpentry or woodworking background will be an advantage

Advantageous
• Experience in cut & edge / cabinetry / furniture production
• Experience with nesting, edging preparation or drilling
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Salary
