♻️ Soil Render for Interwaste 🌍

At urbansoup architects, we’re always pushing the boundaries of sustainable design. Our latest collaboration with Interwaste, a leading waste management company, showcases our expertise in environmental solutions.

Using innovative architectural visualization, we created Soil Render, a detailed and highly accurate representation of landfill containment and capping systems. These renders illustrate the crucial layers that protect the environment—ensuring safe waste management while promoting sustainability.

From Class B Containment Barriers to Consolidated Capping, our work highlights the integration of advanced engineering, HDPE geomembranes, compacted clay liners, and eco-friendly topsoil solutions. With this project, we’re helping to communicate the importance of responsible waste management.

A big thank you to Interwaste for trusting us with this meaningful project! Let’s keep designing for a greener future. 🌱💡

Urban regeneration | In addressing high levels of inequality within an existing informal settlement, the application of urban design best practices becomes paramount. By prioritizing the creation of a high-quality pedestrian environment, fostering vibrant public spaces, and integrating essential social amenities, we can transform these settlements into dignified, sustainable urban habitats aligned with opportunities for all residents.

Firstly, enhancing pedestrian infrastructure ensures safe and accessible mobility, reducing barriers to economic and social participation. Wide walkways, well-lit paths, and traffic-calming measures prioritize pedestrians over vehicles, fostering community interaction and physical activity.

Secondly, the creation of inclusive public spaces promotes social cohesion and collective identity. Parks, plazas, and community gardens serve as gathering points for residents, fostering a sense of belonging and ownership within the neighborhood.

Lastly, integrating essential social amenities such as schools, healthcare facilities, and job training centers equips residents with the tools necessary for personal and economic advancement, breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality.

Through strategic urban design interventions, we can transform informal settlements into vibrant, equitable communities, providing residents with the opportunity for a better quality of life and a pathway to sustainable urban development.
