What are you doing to up your Environmental Social and Governance game?

The invention of such a wavy decorative fence is attributed to Thomas Jefferson. The person whose face you can see on the US $2 bill (it's not on the money for this invention).
And by what parameter is such a wavy fence superior to a regular straight fence? The answer will surprise you - it is counter-intuitive (this is a hint).
From the school geometry course, we know that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Surprisingly, a wavy fence requires LESS bricks than a straight fence. Plus, it's more stable.
The fact is that you cannot build a straight fence in "one brick" (or, as the builders call it, in half a brick). More precisely, you can, but a long fence will fall from a light push. Such fences are built at least two bricks. And at small intervals, buttresses are also added to the straight fence for stability.
A wavy fence in one brick, thanks to the arched folds, is actually a symbiosis of a fence and a buttress.
