Cherry Tomatoes Gardening Club Gardening classes for kids aged 3 -10 every Saturday morning from 9 - 11 in Craighall Park and Bryanston.

We run gardening classes for kids ages 3 - 9 years old at Garden Shop Bryanston and the REEA Vegetable Gardens in Craighall Park. Classes are small (12 kids max) and run from 9 -11 am every Saturday morning. Booking is essential :)

Why we do what we do:

At a time when many children are completely disconnected and unaware of the journey the food that lands on their table makes, The Cherry Tomat

oes Gardening Club aims to instil a sense of wonder and awe in young children about the process of growing food, the environment, and healthy eating. It is a hands-on, fun, social, educational, and confidence-building program, exploring a world that is not focused on in the traditional curriculum. For parents, it’s a great way to keep kids busy with outdoor activities that will have them excited about growing and eating fresh food.

[THIS Saturday] Our Workshop at REEA in Craighall Park will be on 'Good bugs, bad bugs and Winter gardening'.

9am - 10am: Winter garden prep - Weeding, Mulching, Planting more winter seedlings
10am - 11am: Garden bugs and making organic bug spray
11am - 12pm: Nature faces and stories

Remember kids can stay for 1, 2 or all 3 hours and each hour costs R100.
