The design is shaped by a careful balance between privacy and openness. From the street, layered stone walls, timber screens, deep overhangs, and garage forms create a controlled public edge, while the interior opens into a softer sequence of courtyards, water, light, and landscaped living spaces.

The residence accommodates five bedrooms, including a ground-floor guest suite, four first-floor bedrooms, a staff room, study, three garages, and generous living, dining, kitchen, and lounge areas. These spaces are supported by a covered patio, swimming pool, water feature, sunken boma, balconies, and green roof elements.

Materially, the home contrasts robust stonework, warm timber, crisp plastered planes, and dark glazing, creating a refined contemporary residence that feels both grounded and open.

Situated in the prestigious Serengeti Estate, Gauteng, this high-end residence responds thoughtfully to an irregular site to create a home that is both refined and highly functional. The design maximises available space while enhancing natural light, circulation, and overall liveability.

A key planning move was positioning the garage at the rear of the property, allowing for a more open and welcoming street presence. The house is carefully arranged across the site to optimise sunlight, frame views, and create a series of well-proportioned living spaces.

By working closely with the site boundaries, the design maximises usable floor area while strategic shifts in the building form generate private nooks, framed vistas, and light-filled interior spaces along the edges of the home.

The ground floor accommodates generous open-plan living and entertainment areas, while the first floor is reserved for private accommodation, providing a calm and secluded retreat for the residents.
