RE: DHET Fees Increment Survey
Greetings fellow leaders,
It has come to our attention that the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has approved a request from universities to increase their fees for the 2024 academic year. The Student Representative Council (SRC) has taken the time to discuss this matter and seek input from the student body on how they feel about the proposed increment. The SRC has created a Google Form for student body to fill out in order to accurately advocate for your needs and concerns. The form is safe and confidential, and we will not discriminate against any student who chooses not to participate. Your credentials are solely required for data collection purposes and will not be used for any other purposes by the university or the SRC institution.
The information gathered from the survey will be used to help us engage with university management and other stakeholders in the higher education sector to ensure that the best interests of students are represented. We would appreciate your participation and hope that you will take the time to fill out the form thoughtfully and completely by Tuesday, 23rd January 2024, at 5 pm.
