Did this rustic picture frame for one of my favourite clients. Just look at the Cremora sense of humour and the note on the refrigerator. These are my kind of people.

This tabletop had taken a beating from the Langebaan winter weather.
The slats had started to warp, so I gave it a full reinforcement:

*Removed the top from the frame
*Disassembled and repositioned the original supports
*Added 3 extra supports and increased screw points to stop future warping
*Sanded the surface and sealed both sides with *Excelsior clear external satin varnish, which I think really made the natural beauty of the wood POP!
*Replaced a broken support brace on the matching chair

Now the set is solid, weather-protected, and ready for many more years of service. Plus I do love positive feedback from my clients:

"My Dad just called me and he says the table looks absolutely spectacular!"

🐾 Sometimes, It’s About More Than Business 🐾

Not every project is about profit — sometimes, it’s just about helping a neighbour and making life a little easier.

This week, I installed a small wooden pedestrian gate to keep a tiny dog safe inside the yard.
We used available second-hand materials and modified an old gate to fit perfectly.

The end result:
✅ A practical, secure solution
✅ A happy client and an even happier dog
✅ And yes, this one was on the house — because sometimes lending a hand is what community is all about.

🔨 PROJECT COMPLETE – Rustic Twin Hexagonal Mosaic Window Installations 🔨

I’ve just completed one of the most inspiring and rewarding projects of my career — the construction and installation of two irregular hexagonal timber frames, each filled with a random mosaic of reclaimed wooden window frames.

🪟 Every frame was unique — full of character and history — and together they now live in a completely new and beautiful form.
📐 The hexagons were crafted from precisely cut timber and installed over 2.4m above ground into custom wall cavities, creating two powerful focal pieces that blend structure and story.

✨ It was a true honour and privilege to work under Hanneli Denner's creative guidance — her vision pushed the boundaries of form and expression, and along the way, I uncovered parts of my own untapped creative potential I never knew were there.

This wasn’t just a build — it was a creative journey.
I’m incredibly proud of the result, and excited for the next big thing.

This table got the love it deserved — sanded down, cleaned meticulously between coats, and finished with 5 layers of high-performance Woodoc Totim Waterborne Exterior Sealer for lasting durability and a clean, natural look.

I’ve learned that real collaboration isn’t about shared tasks or shared credit—it’s about shared values.

If you’re in a partnership where instructions are ignored, communication slips, or clients are misled, you’re not in a partnership. You’re in damage control.
