The Saudi Mega Project is Dead (as expected)
Architects need to take responsibility for trying to sell it.

Similarly, those lending their skills to the “Gaza Riviera” project need to seriously relfect.

It was always doomed to unravel, but the firms who lent their name to this folly should be held accountable.

[TUT Architecture Masters Programme 2025]

Honoured once again to be part of the TUT_Arch Masters thesis examiners panel.
The students’ focus on our rich Indigenous Knowledge systems was a real standout.
Two days of incredible presentations and inspiring discussions.
Well done to the students and to the faculty — you’re definitely doing something right.

A home shaped by listening, trust, and shared vision.
This project encouraged us — in the best possible way — to pause, listen deeply, and truly understand our client’s aspirations. It wasn’t our usual design style, but it became an opportunity to expand our creative language and bring the client’s personality into the work in a meaningful way.
From the start, our client recognised our ability to execute his vision — even with his very specific tastes and expectations. Long, open conversations followed, where we found the right balance between our design principles and his ideas. We also learned to listen for what wasn’t said — those subtle cues that reveal how someone wants to live and feel in their space.
Through it all, we remained true to the essentials we value most: flow, comfort, efficiency, practicality, climate response, and a thoughtful sense of scale. None of these were compromised.
The result is a home that reflects our client’s individuality while staying grounded in good design — a place that feels like them, yet holds the quiet discipline of our craft. It’s something they, and their young children, can grow with for years to come.
We’re proud of the collaboration, and grateful for the opportunity to align our experience with our client’s vision and journey — a true exercise in inclusive design.

Architecture & Occupation
There’s a genocide happening in Gaza, with people being deliberately starved to a point where they will never ever recover, assuming they don’t starve to death.
Why on earth would Wits Architecture want to host a public meeting by an Israeli architect.

Can you spare a minute to help this campaign?
