The thrill of finally breaking ground with a cherished design is always such a momentous occasion.

The Bloem Street Tiny Houses project surpassed the normal joy for various reasons. The owner and client Astrid McLeod and myself watched the commencement of construction with baited breath…

Designed by Swiss architect Corinne Itten, documented and ushered through the legal system by myself and constructed by Evermine (evermine.co.za) in Cape Town, construction started on 25 March. These photographs were all taken ON THE SAME DAY.

Located in the Burg of Graz, in Austria, this double spiral staircase is an architectural masterpiece that dates back to 1499. It is known as the “staircase of reconciliation”, as there are 2 opposing stairways that briefly merge, part ways and then rejoin on each floor
