Brothers, I understand your frustration. But honestly, I think a different approach is needed to resolve the issues in your country. I heard someone say that South Africa has only about 800 immigration officers, is that true? If so, it shows that even your government needs more skilled people, but they have to be qualified.
You’re right that foreigners sometimes take jobs that citizens don’t. But the question is: would any employer choose unqualified workers? I know this may not be easy to hear, but it’s important to focus on gaining the right training and becoming more employable before insisting that employers prioritize citizens.
No one wants to risk their business by hiring people who lack the necessary skills or experience. Think about the future, what will things look like for the next generation? It may be uncomfortable, but stepping out of your comfort zone to acquire skills, even if it means going abroad for training, can open better opportunities back home.
The truth can be hard, but it’s shared with good intentions.
