Cape Town plant lovers — keep your succulents and cacti happy year-round with simple, seasonal watering rules from Namib Garden! 🌵💧

Spring/Summer: water outdoor succulents every 7–14 days, giving 250–500 ml per pot depending on size; indoor succulents every 2–3 weeks with 100–200 ml. Autumn/Winter: cut back — water outdoor plants every 3–6 weeks and indoor ones every 4–6 weeks. Use a watering gauge or check soil 3–4 cm down; if it’s dry, it’s time.

Prefer metrics: sandy, fast-draining mixes need slightly more frequent but lighter waterings. In Cape Town’s rainy months, rely on rainfall — reduce manual watering by at least 50% after good spells. For pots, choose drainage-friendly containers and a chunky soil blend to prevent root rot.
