🫐 BLUEBERRY ‘SHARP BLUE’

A highly productive Southern Highbush blueberry especially suited to warmer, low-chill climates. 🌞🌿 Sharp Blue is valued for its adaptability, long harvesting period and excellent fruit quality.

🫐 Fruit: Medium to large, light-blue berries with firm, smooth skin
😋 Flavour: Sweet, mild and aromatic
📅 Harvest: Early to mid-season, generally October–December, with a long picking period
🌱 Growth: Vigorous and productive
☀️ Position: Full sun
🌡️ Climate: Excellent heat tolerance and particularly good for mild-winter areas
🪴 Soil: Acidic, well-drained soil, ideally around pH 4.5–5.5
💧 Keep evenly moist and mulch well with pine bark or similar acidic organic material.

🌿 Fertilising:
Use Talborne Organics Vita Fruit & Flower 3:1:5 at approximately 40 g per plant every 3 months. Available from our nursery.

A beautiful autumn day 🍂 🍁 at our nursery 😍.
Autumn is actually an excellent time to plant cold hardy trees like berries, cherries, peaches, apples, pears and plums. The plants get a chance to settle and develop roots in the cool weather and by the time spring comes they can grow actively.
