We are noticing an increase of the use and need of concrete V-drains above new dry stack retaining walls. This is mostly due to the heavier rain we are getting. The drains help divert surface water around the walls rather than the water running over and down the face of the wall. In the photos you will see an example of a concrete drain cast in situ (on site) and a pre-cast unit we often use.
