Make a Chicken Pie for Dad! 💚💙
Be the sunshine this Father's Day - bake an easy Chicken Pie for your dad. With a tried and tested, EASY recipe - lunch will be memorable for everyone!

𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙋𝙞𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙚

INGREDIENTS
Roast chicken - remove bones & shred
1 roll store bought puff pastry - thaw & divide into 2 equal portions
50 g butter
1 cup milk & half cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
Cooked Mushrooms & Thyme
1 Onion sliced
1 green Chilli sliced
Salt and black pepper to taste.
1 egg beaten for egg wash
Butter to grease the pie dish

METHOD
Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion & chillies. Cook until soft. Stir in the flour & cook for a minute. Slowly add milk & chicken stock. Stir until thickens.

Add chicken, mixed veg, thyme & mushroom to sauce. Allow to simmer. Remove to cool.

Grease an oven proof pie dish and cover with half of the puff pastry. Add the filling. Top with remaining puff pastry. Crimp the edges with a fork & cut a small slit on the top, to allow steam to escape. Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 25 to 30 minutes, until puffy & golden.

All mom's favourite children will be making a meal this year, and cleaning up too! We are jumping in to help your mission succeed with a tried and tested, EASY biriyani recipe. Make Mother's Day great for everyone!

𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙚

INGREDIENTS
1 and a half cups Rice, cooked with Turmeric
1 can Chakalaka – your preference
4 Chicken breasts
Fresh Coriander - to taste
1 Onion chopped
Sliced Green Pepper
1 Green sliced Chilli - optional
Juice of 1 Lemon
Chicken Tikka Masala
Salt to taste
2 Potatoes, cubed and fried in hot oil

METHOD
Heat oil in a pan, add onion + green pepper + sliced chilli then fry. Add in the can of chakalaka and mix all together with the rice.
Cut and coat, the chicken pieces with lemon juice , salt and masala.
Fry chicken on low heat until well done. Add to the rice and chakalaka.
Throw in the potatoes. Garnish with fresh coriander and enjoy.
Serve with salad or sambals.
