HELP!! Our roof is COLLAPSING!

This was the call I got today, half way into a 3 day long weekend, with many of our suppliers closed and staff on a well-deserved break.

I was able to quickly make a timber brace and get it under the beam to support the roof until there's time to return and replace the rotten timber with a new beam.

If you have old timbers that need some TLC, let's sort them out before it's too late. We can often re-sand and seal exterior wood rather than replace, adding years to their lifespan.

It's been a while since I posted here — but I haven't been idle.

Meet the Leo Bookcase. Three columns. Twenty-seven shelves. Crown moulding, fluted columns, integrated LED lighting, and a custom plinth that meets the floor like it's always been there.

It started life out as a set of SketchUp drawings. From the first cut in our workshop to the final reveal in the client's study, every shelf, mitre and brushstroke was hand-built and hand-finished right here in Plett.

The reward? Watching it fill up with a lifetime of books, a globe, and the family's name plaque on the middle shelf — exactly where it belongs.

After de-greasing and washing, we applied 2 coats of Jotun's 2-pack polyurethane paint.

This beautiful new window transforms the space by flooding it with light!

We boarded up the inside and sealed it so that we could cut out the wall from the outside, letting no dust into the home.

After the window was in we removed the cladding and re painted inside and outside.
