π³πΏ Let's celebrate Arbor Day with a shoutout to the amazing community project happening with Potch Boys High School π Today, we're thrilled to announce the donation of two waterwise trees: the Ceratonia siliqua and Saligna Buddleja.
The Ceratonia siliqua, also known as the carob tree, is a drought-resistant species that provides shade and produces delicious, nutritious pods. They got especially excited to learn that these pods can be used as a substitute for chocolate in some recipes! π€―
Saligna Buddleja, on the other hand, is a beautiful flowering shrub that attracts pollinators like butterflies and bees, contributing to biodiversity.
To all the young minds out there, let's get inspired to get our hands dirty! π± Taking part in gardening, tree planting, or food growing practices not only helps the environment but also teaches valuable lessons about responsibility and sustainability.
A big THANK YOU to the event coordinators for making this project possible and for empowering our youth to make a difference! Let's keep growing together, one tree at a time. π³π
