Designed for the semi-arid climate of the Little Karoo, this home embraces passive design principles for comfortable living year round. Planned around a central courtyard, the layout creates a sheltered microclimate and encourages indoor outdoor living. The use of thermal mass in the walls helps regulate indoor temperatures by absorbing heat during the day and releasing it at night.

The green roof provides natural insulation, helping to keep the interior cool during the day and retain warmth when temperatures drop. It allows the house to blend into the natural surroundings.

The multi-storey building will accommodate all the devisions of the Economical Development Department of Ekurhuleni in an effort to have all the necessary resources needed for business development under one roof.
