At Groasis I can live out my passion for plants and share the wonder of nature with others. I have an interest in ferns, clivias and locus trees but specialise in and sell Hellebores and Staghorn Ferns. Today, we pause to remember and celebrate Francois van Heerden — the visionary founder of Groasis – House of Hellebores. Francois was more than a horticultural pioneer; he was an inspiration, a mentor, a friend, a father, and a guiding light to all who knew him.

His passion, creativity, and unwavering dedication live on in the beauty that he cultivated and the lives he touched so deeply. Although he is missed every single day, his legacy continues to bloom.

We’re proud to share that his eldest son is now carrying the torch, continuing Francois’ work and vision under a new name:
