Dira Designs’ extensive expertise in the provision of bespoke kitchens, cupboards and furniture was called on by the home owner to produce cupboards with a clean finish. The brief entailed the design of cabinetry that would equal the sleek, modern aesthetics of the home. Using a “less is more” approach, the company opted for simple, modern features offset by high-gloss elements, with a handle-less finish adding to the seamless effect that echoes throughout the house.

This modern day factory built in the industrial part of Middelburg, is a building when seen for the first time will have you gasping, because of it's sheer size. The cupboard designs were minimalistic, yet had a feel of sophistication.

Arthur and Johanita Gloy, what wonderfull people. Warm and inviting just as their beautifull house. We were asked to do the BIC's, Vanities and Bar all of which tested our creativity. The BIC's and Vanities we sprayed Duco Satin Storm andd Folkstone Grey with hints of White Oak which we Rubio Monocoated with Silver Grey, all colours which I think worked well together. The Bar, we went with Melamine Storm Grey and Linear Smoked Cedar Melamine, the same as their exisiting kitchen. This was a fun project to be apart which gave us creative space.

So ends another project, this one took place in Boardwalk Meander Estate. What a joy it was working with Arno and Winnie Burger. The Kitchen, Scullery and Braai has a warm yet modern look and feel and was made from Seno Hemlock with hints of Seno High Gloss Cream. The BIC's and Vanities were made from Egger Bardolino Grey which creates a warm cosy feel throuhout the rest of the house. All and all everything came out great and everything works well together.

In collaboration with Stefan Hefer (Funkt Woordwork) we embarked on the revamp of Park Lodge in Pretoria centre. We are proud to have been part of the project as this is an upliftment of our City Centre and adds so much to the surrounding area and businesses.
