G24 FLOOD RESPONSE REPORT
11 – 12 May 2026
Breede Valley & Surrounding Areas
During the severe weather conditions and flooding experienced across the Breede Valley and surrounding regions on 11 – 12 May 2026, G24 Management Solutions activated a full-scale emergency operational response through our 24/7 Operational Command Centre.
For more than 72 continuous hours, G24 members, rescue personnel, armed response officers, EMS support teams, volunteers, and partner emergency services operated under extremely dangerous and demanding conditions with little to no sleep. Despite flooded roads, damaged infrastructure, power failures, communication challenges, and ongoing weather threats, teams remained operational throughout the disaster period.
Operational Overview
The G24 Command Centre was transformed into a fully coordinated emergency communication and dispatch hub, handling:

Key Response Operations
Rescue Missions & Evacuations
Multiple rescue and evacuation operations were conducted in flooded and isolated areas where residents were trapped due to rising water levels and damaged infrastructure.
Teams assisted with:
* Evacuating stranded residents
* Assisting vulnerable and elderly individuals
* Welfare checks on isolated families
* Transporting essential supplies
* Supporting emergency medical situations
Several high-risk rescue operations were performed in rapidly changing flood conditions where roads, bridges, and access routes were severely damaged or completely washed away.
