Operational Success Report

BackUp Security Intervention Specialists together with the Florida CPF, received an anonymous tip off with regards to a wanted suspect. It was believed the suspect was within the Florida Policing precinct.

The operational team was mobilized and Johannesburg K9 was brought in to confirm the outstanding warrants against the suspect.

During routine patrols the team checked certain places that the suspect frequents, and followed information that the suspect was at his premises.

Johannesburg K9, West Rand Flying Squad, BackUp SIS and Florida CPF, found the suspect at the premises and he was subsequently arrested on outstanding warrants of arrest.

Hijacked vehicle tracking unit activated. Vehicle recovered with another hijacked vehicle and victims being held by criminals whilst stripping the car.

Whilst the Interceptor Unit was on a recon drive an urgent call for BackUp was received. Suspects were busy bombing an ATM. Even though all role players responded swiftly the suspects managed to get away.

BackUp SIS recently assisted Florida SAPS with various VCP check points throughout the policing area.

In excess of 50 vehicles were checked during the operation.
