Keeping it simple.
Recent barnhouse studies exploring open trusses, versus flush fastened ceilings, the light quality it provides and how it visually impacts the space. The elongated design also lends itself to a more transient open plan layout, encouraging interconnectedness, while still creating functional separate spaces within the simple design. The inner courtyard is protected and flanked by the two accommodation wings, creating a tranquil space away from it all.
Simple might just come with a few intricacies after all...
