Important - Water regularly right through winter - only the leaves go yellow - the roots are still growing.

With all the storm damage lately, it is a good idea to trim all your shrubs and trees to help them recover. Remember if you don't do it, your plants will use all it's energy to try and repair the damage.
Important - keep your gutters clean as it could be filled with storm debris.

Gardening tip of the week:
It is time to start planning your lawn care programme for spring and summer. You have always wanted a healthy and lush green lawn and with the right programme you can achieve it.
Step 1 : Feeding - your lawn will need a good feed to promote growth. Keep a garden diary - gardeners usually start off with a bang in Spring and then slacks down when the grass looks nice.
Step 2 : Fill - all those uneven spots on your lawn with a top dressing. It is not necessary to cover your entire lawn as feeding will do the trick.
Step 3 : Fight - weeds in your lawn will always be a constant problem, but you can keep it at bay with commitment. Important to remember - don't just by any over the counter products. Rather speak to a lawn specialist to get the correct advise and treatment.
Important - always water well after applying products, but be vigilant of that last bout of frost that can catch you off guard !!
