Getting the views and right orientation in relation to north is always a challenge. On the East coast we always have the views to the Sea on the East which means houses tend to open up to the East ignoring the North that brings in the best year round light. This can make a house feel cold if there is not enough glazing to the north. Always try to increase the glazing on the north and orientate your living spaces to the north if you can. This is a site we visited early on in the year in the South Coast which faces this same challenge. Tight site with views to the south East.
