Did you know... saltmarshes are bursting with life? 🦩
Not only are these super-powered habitats great at storing carbon and protecting communities from flooding, they're also teeming with wildlife.
Spanning the arctic coast all the way to tropical estuaries, saltmarshes are found where saltwater meets land. And the microhabitats that form within them, support a huge variety of plant and animal life.
From flocks of wading birds, to wild guinea pigs, snakes, terrapins, fish, snails and even geckos!
