I always wonder why people feel it's ok to litter?

This definitely touches my core value of looking after the earth. We can't change the way the big corporates behave, but we can change our own actions. And it makes a difference.

Look after the earth. We only have one.

Just a quick observation on the Celtis africana (White Stinkwood) tree this time of year - they tend to keep their leaves for longer than the exotic Celtis sinensis (Chinese Hackberry).

This Youth Day serves as a reminder that our futures are shaped long before we see the results. Like a tree being carefully planted and nurtured to bear much fruit, young people need opportunity, encouragement, and space to grow into their full potential. We believe growth is never just about landscapes.

It’s about honouring the resilience, energy, and potential of South Africa’s youth, and the role each generation plays in building a hopeful future. https://tinyurl.com/49x5m5cx

A little bit of insight to the insides 😉

Drip irrigation is the best type of irrigation for big trees. Don't try to make the holes bigger. Trust the process. Your trees will thrive.

Oak trees have become almost synonymous with Stellenbosch. For years, they’ve been lining the streets, shaping public spaces, and quietly witnessing generations pass beneath them. Recently, Turkish Oaks were planted at the Town Hall, adding fresh structure and greenery to its landscape. We know these trees will settle in well to become landmarks that outlive generations.
