WE ARE HIRING – RC DRILL OPERATOR

Van Zyl Drilling is seeking an experienced and motivated RC Drill Operator to join our team.

📍 Position: RC Drill Operator

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Operate and maintain RC drilling equipment safely and efficiently
✔ Monitor drilling progress and complete daily drilling reports
✔ Assist with managing drilling crews and daily site activities
✔ Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance
✔ Troubleshoot operational challenges and minimise downtime
✔ Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
✔ Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
✔ Travel to various project sites as required

Minimum Requirements:

✅ Minimum 2 years' experience operating RC drilling rigs
✅ Strong knowledge of RC drilling methods and equipment
✅ Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance skills
✅ Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
✅ Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
✅ Good communication and teamwork skills
✅ Valid Code EC Driver's Licence with PDP (Compulsory)
✅ Certificate of Competency will be advantageous
