December 2019 I quit my job to go on my own, we moved to Worcester, unaware of what 2020 would have in store for us. With the Covid-pandemic and no architectural work or clients, and a friend in need of a way to make a living we, my husband Hannes Steyn and I decided to tackle a building we bought a few years back. June to December 2020 we worked very hard to turn this derelict old lady into the Copper Kettle coffee shop and function venue it is now. It is so nice to get recognition and to see how this renovation has brought life into such a small countryside village such as Koperfontein.
