We are open on Monday 7th of July and closed on Tuesday 8th of July.

Maggy, our founder and managing director, has been in Zambia for 52 years. Her love of Palms, Hibiscus and all plants grew from her birth country Tanzania.

Maggy had a nursery on her family farm in Mkushi and when the farm was sold in 2010, she started relocating the Palms and most of the parent stock to Palabana, and created a Palm Park. The relocation of all the Palms and plants finished in June 2014.

The relocation of the Palms was quite an intense process. The Palms had to be trenched, covered with hessian and shade cloth, we then left for 6-8 weeks until new roots started to form. Only then were they moved, using a crane and a low bed to transport them.

The heaviest Palm to be moved was the Bismark Palm: Bismarkia nobilis, weighing at 3.94 tons! All the Palms are growing happily at the Palm park, and the story of the move is in pictures on this page.

Visits to the Nursery in Palabana are welcome, but only by prior arrangement.

In May 2018 we opened an Outlet in the Millennium Village. We carry a lot of stock and can deal with large orders. We also propagate on order.
