Hello everyone!

I apologise for my absence lately. I have been busy working on my first book, which I am excited to introduce to you today. The book is called “The Very Basics of Interior Design”, and it is specifically designed for those who are new to the world of interior design.

Miyown Interiors has officially been running for two years as of today! 🎉

When I started the business I wasn’t sure about the outcome, but I started anyways!

There were times I faced challenges but kept pushing because my vision is that ten years from now I should be proud of the contribution Miyown Interiors will make in the the interior design industry.

Our industry is still in its infancy, in Zambia particularly, so it has been a bit of a different landscape. However, through the workshops I’ve curated, conferences I’ve presented at and projects I’ve engaged in over the years, I’ve been able to meet many likeminded people (like yourselves) and continued to share ideas, passions and lots of fun times within our community.

Moodboards are a key starting point for generating great ideas! They help communicate and clarify the vision of a project. Not only that, but, they are a useful way to collaborate with and involve a client early in a project on the ideas they can choose from. That’s why they’re one of my favourite parts of the design process.
