Bathroom Cleaning Tips – Using ordinary household products
Bathroom counter tops and outside of toilet, – Use baby wipes these wipes are great at cleaning surfaces as well as baby bottoms.
Toilet stains in bowl - Pour a cup of vinegar and leave it for one hour your scrubbing becomes easier or alternatively pour a can of coke and leave it overnight.
Blocked drain – Pour a cup of salt and a cup of baking soda down the drain and leave it overnight and in the morning pour one kettle of boiling water. It also leaves your drain smelling fresh!
Hairspray build on Mirror and countertops – Use ordinary alcohol to wipe those surfaces, alcohol removes sticky hair care products residues.
Tapes and brass fixtures – Get those brass fixtures to shine! Cut a lemon in half and dip it in some salt. Rub this on the brass and wipe with a clean cloth or make a paste from vinegar, salt and flour.
Caution - Before using a commercial brass cleaning product, test in a hidden area. Sometimes cleaning products will leave behind a film.
Rust on sinks, tubs and bathroom tiles - Lemon juice / White vinegar left to sit on the offending spot for at least 30 minutes should be enough to remove the rust. You might need several applications or alternatively look for a cleaning product with oxalic acid.
Blocked shower head - Lime and mineral deposits can clog the holes of the shower head giving us less water pressure use vinegar put your shower in vinegar for 30 minutes and thereafter clean any remaining blocked holes with a tooth brush.
