We transformed a substantial 7,853m² site into a beautifully landscaped enclave, housing eleven, three-bedroom garden flats designed for a premium living experience.

Spanning a 36-month period completed late 2019, this project was a testament to meticulous planning and quality construction. Each of the eleven units boasts a generous 188.4m² of living space, contributing to a total developed area of 2,072m².

A gated residential complex designed with the warmth and character of traditional Zimbabwe red brick and concrete roofing tiles. At Pearce McComish Tarabuku Architects, we believe that the most enduring buildings are those that speak the language of their place.

In a landmark project for Harare’s CBD, Pearce McComish Tarabuku Architects delivered the Old Mutual Properties SME Centre — widely known as Eastgate Market.
More than a building, it is a vibrant, self-contained economic ecosystem designed to empower small and medium-sized enterprises.

Located at the corner of Robert Mugabe Road and Wynne Street, this 15,909m² mixed-use development brings together retail, market trading, offices, food services, healthcare spaces, and residential units for traders — all within a dynamic double-volume structure.
Completed over 36 months, Eastgate Market stands as a catalyst for urban regeneration and entrepreneurial growth in the heart of Harare. 🌿🏙️

Celebrating one of PMTA & Zimbabwe’s most iconic architectural achievements, A landmark known for its pioneering passive cooling system inspired by termite mounds, Eastgate continues to demonstrate how climate-responsive design can shape sustainable urban architecture.
Before sustainability became a global trend, Eastgate Mall was already leading the way. Using natural ventilation inspired by termite mounds, it remains one of Africa’s most influential eco-architectural case studies.
