🌱 Spring is here, and we’re getting ready for the growing season!

We’ve been busy sprig planting a fresh paddock of Kikuyu here at Ryans Turf. 🚜🌱

Sprig planting uses pieces of established Kikuyu to grow and spread across the paddock, creating a brand-new turf crop ready for future harvest.

With the warmer weather arriving, conditions are perfect for Kikuyu to get growing — now we wait for Mother Nature to work her magic! ☀️💧

From a bare paddock to a lush green lawn… it all starts right here. 💚

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — JESS 👋

Jess joined Ryans Turf at the end of 2025 after coming in to “just help out in the office”… and somehow never left. 😂

After managing a warehouse in Tassie, she made the move back home and swapped insulation for turf! 🌱

These days, Jess keeps busy with sales, marketing, looking after customers and finding new ways to grow the business — but she’s just as happy getting out of the office to load customers and lend a hand on the farm. 🚜

Always up for a chat and usually running on caffeine, Jess brings plenty of energy and laughs to the Ryans Turf crew. 😂☕🌱

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — JOSH 👋

Josh has been part of the Ryans Turf crew for 9 years, so it’s fair to say he knows his way around a turf paddock! 🚜

Before turf, Josh studied Livestock Nutrition and worked on dairy and Wagyu farms before swapping cows for grass. 🐄➡️🌱

He started with us back in the days of the old 2-person harvester, when every roll had to be stacked by hand. These days, he’s upgraded to the Brower 4000 Auto-Stacker, cutting up to a whopping 1,700m² an hour! 💨

From harvesting and loading customers to keeping the paddocks looking their best, Josh is always getting stuck in.

Peta joined Ryans Turf in 2020, bringing plenty of experience in business, sales and bookkeeping — plus she’s no stranger to jumping on the machinery when needed! 🚜

These days, she keeps the numbers in check, the accounts moving and helps keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes. 💻💰

Peta loves helping our customers and watching Ryans Turf continue to grow.

🌱 MEET THE TEAM — BOWEN 👋

Bowen joined the Ryans Turf crew in September 2025 and has since kicked off his apprenticeship in Sports Turf Management.

You’ll find him getting stuck into just about everything on the farm — mowing, fertilising, spraying, irrigation, turf installs… and whatever else we can throw his way. 😂

Before joining us, Bowen completed a pre-apprenticeship in carpentry, but quickly worked out he’d rather be outdoors growing grass than building houses. 🌱🔨

Since coming on board, he’s also earned his ChemCert accreditation and continues to build his skills across all areas of turf production.

Young, motivated and always keen to learn, Bowen is working towards completing his apprenticeship and building a long-term career in the turf industry.

We’re excited to watch him grow with the Ryans Turf team — hopefully as quickly as our Kikuyu does in summer! 😂🌱

📢 Important Update – Saturday Trading

From this week onwards, Ryans Turf will no longer be open on Saturdays.

Our team will now be available for customer collections during the following hours:

🟢 Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
🟢 Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

We appreciate your understanding as we make this change and look forward to continuing to provide you with the same great service during our weekday trading hours.

📍 We recommend planning your pickups during these times, and as always, if you have any questions, our team is happy to help.
