A NOTE FROM US!

After 21 years as Westvic Sheds, we’re excited to announce the next chapter of our business:

Westvic Sheds is becoming Fair Dinkum Builds Colac.

Before we look forward, we want to look back and say a huge thank you.

To every customer who has supported us over the past 21 years, thank you. From our early days operating from a small converted dairy office to our current highway-frontage premises, your support has allowed us to grow into a business we’re incredibly proud of.

What started with sheds has grown into a complete range of building products and services, including sheds, garages, barns, farm and commercial buildings, carports, patios, garage doors, fencing and roofing supplies.

Along the way, we’ve been incredibly lucky to build a team that feels more like family. Some staff have been with us from the very beginning, while long-term employees, contractors and suppliers have played a huge part in our journey.

And that’s what we want you to know about this change, the name is changing, but the people aren’t.

We’re still the same locally owned and operated family business, with the same experienced team, the same local knowledge and the same commitment to our customers.

Our relationship with Fair Dinkum goes right back to the beginning, from the days of Fair Dinkum Sheds through to Fair Dinkum Builds today. Becoming Fair Dinkum Builds Colac allows us to embrace the strength of a national brand while continuing to deliver the local service and relationships our customers know and trust.

It’s also an exciting new chapter for Chris, who is taking on a national role with Fair Dinkum Builds, helping improve the buildability, practicality and innovation of buildings across Australia.

We’re incredibly proud of where Westvic Sheds has come from and grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.

The Westvic Sheds & Garages Open Sprintcar series for season 2026/2027 is all set to go green with round one to be contested at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool on the first weekend in November. The series will then conclude at the Easter Trail with three final nights of action.

In between, the local SRA superstars will go to war against some of the best drivers from across the country and the world, ensuring race fans will be treated to enthralling edge of your seat racing with every round guaranteeing a minimum of $5,000 to win.

Lock in the dates now for the upcoming season and we look forward to seeing you at the track.

Every now and then, a project comes along that reminds you why we love what we do.

Nestled in the stunning surrounds of Johanna, this custom built shed was created for the talented duo Lucy & Jonno from , and it's a project we're incredibly proud to have been part of.

Designed to complement it's natural surroundings, this impressive 10m x 17m x 4.8m shed stands out with a striking 30 degree roof pitch, finished in Woodland Grey Corrugated cladding. The result is a build that combines timeless design with strength and durability to handle the rugged conditions of the Otway's.

A huge thank you to Jonno for capturing these incredible images for us and allowing us to share them with you all, because let's face it... our shed boys are a lot better at building sheds than taking photos!
