A project we're looking back on in Glen Iris 🤍

Our clients were developing two townhouses, and we worked closely with their architect and builder to bring the interiors together, from detailed elevation drawings through to selecting colours, materials and finishes.

But this project involved a little more than our usual design process.

We started with market research, looking at what similar townhouses in the area were selling for and the level of finishes buyers were expecting. This helped us make considered decisions about where to invest and where to be more strategic with the budget.

From beautiful natural stone in the kitchen to thoughtfully designed cabinetry and carefully selected finishes, every detail had a purpose.

And the result? One of the townhouses sold well above our clients' expectations!

A great outcome for everyone involved, and a lovely reminder that good design isn't just about how a property looks. It's also about making smart decisions that add value.

A beautiful bathroom is all in the details. 🤍

We love seeing bathrooms that bring together natural textures, thoughtful finishes and timeless design.

From natural stone inspired tiles and warm timber accents to sleek black tapware, frameless glass and carefully chosen fixtures, each element plays a part in creating a space that feels both practical and beautiful.

It’s these little details that make all the difference. Not just creating a bathroom that looks good, but one that feels inviting, works for everyday living and stands the test of time.

Because good design is about more than just choosing pretty finishes. It’s about making every choice count.

Planning a new build or bathroom renovation? We’d love to help you bring it all together. ✨

There are a few things we’ll never compromise on when designing a home. 👇

1. Make your decisions before construction
Finalise your colours, finishes and fixtures early. No one wants to be panic-picking tiles because the builder needs an answer tomorrow.

2. Don’t rely on downlights alone
We’re lighting a home, not the MCG! Layer wall lights, pendants and lamps to create warmth and ambience, not just brightness.

3. Invest in what’s expensive to change later
Flooring, cabinetry, plumbing locations and electrical layouts deserve careful planning from the start.

Good design isn’t just about how your home looks. It’s about making the right decisions before they become expensive to fix.

Save this for your next build or renovation! ✨

We’re seeing a shift towards homes with more detail, character and charm. 🤍

A beautiful blend of old and new is finding its way into more of our projects, and we’re loving it!

Think detailed cabinetry profiles, ornate handles, natural stone benchtops with plenty of movement, rich timber flooring and floor tiles that are different from the wall tiles. These thoughtful details bring depth, warmth and personality to a space.

It’s not about following a trend. It’s about creating a home that feels considered, timeless and full of character.

Are you drawn to this blend of classic details and modern living? ✨

If you’re planning a new build or renovation and want a home with its own unique character, we’d love to help bring your vision to life. 🤍

Thinking about renovating your home? here are 3 important things to consider first.

1. Understand how you live in your home right now.

What’s working well, and what isn’t? Your renovation should solve everyday frustrations, not just make your home look beautiful.

2. Set a realistic budget.

It's important to understand where you can make the biggest value to your home, and know what you’re comfortable spending. Having a clear budget from the beginning helps guide your decisions and keeps your priorities in check.

3. Make your decisions before construction begins.

The more you can finalise upfront, the smoother the process tends is!

A successful renovation isn't just about how your home looks at the end. It's about creating a home that works for the way you live, within a budget that makes sense for you.

Save this for when you're planning your next renovation! 🤍

Interior design and interior styling go hand in hand, but they're not quite the same thing.

Interior design looks at the bigger picture. How your home functions, how the spaces flow and how the layout supports your lifestyle.

Interior styling focuses on bringing each room together through furniture, artwork, lighting and those finishing touches that make a space feel like home.

Both play an important role in creating a beautiful, considered space. Bur, the key is knowing what your home needs and when!

Are you building, renovating or looking to refresh your interiors? We'd love to know!

A little peek behind the scenes of one of our current projects! 🤍

We’re working on a brand new build in Kew alongside with Zai Building Design creating a modern provincial family home designed for our clients to enjoy and entertain.

The brief is all about bringing together timeless character, thoughtful details and a welcoming feel. A home that’s just as beautiful for everyday family life as it is for hosting family and friends.

There’s so much that goes into bringing a vision like this to life, from the overall design direction to the little details that makes everything feel like home. We’re loving seeing this project take shape and can’t wait to share more of the journey with you!

A few interior design opinions that might be a little unpopular…

- Not everything needs to match
- Your TV doesn’t have to be the star of your living room or above your fireplace
- And spending more doesn’t always mean you’ll end up with a better designed home

Sometimes, the best spaces are the ones that break a few rules and feel right for the people living in them.

Because good design isn’t about following every rule, buying the most expensive pieces or making everything look perfect. It’s about designing a home that feels like you!

Now, I’m curious… which one do you agree with most? Or is there an interior design opinion you’ll always stand by?

What you see is the finished space. What we see is everything that brought it to life. 🤍

Before the beautiful finishes, the carefully chosen furniture and those little details that make a room feel just right, there are hours of planning, concept presentations, 3D renders, floor plans, material selections and countless little decisions along the way.

We’re imagining how the space will look, how it will feel, and how works for you.

Because a great interior design isn’t just about making a space look beautiful. It’s about bringing all those ideas together to create a home that feels like you, and feels right for you.

And seeing it all come to life? That’s the best part.

Developers: your finishes shouldn’t be an afterthought.

The colours, materials and details you choose don’t just influence how a property looks. They shape how it feels, how it’s positioned in the market and ultimately how buyers connect with the space.

For this recently completed townhouse development in Glen Iris, we worked closely with the developer to understand the target market, the intended sale price and the level of finish needed to create a beautiful, high end result.

From there, we designed every internal space across both townhouses, including detailed cabinetry design, full documentation, colour selections and finishes.

The finished homes feature:

✨ Tundra Grey natural stone benchtops throughout
✨ Floor to ceiling 600 x 600 tiles to all wet areas
✨ Premium tapware finishes
✨ A curved Venetian plaster fireplace detail
✨ A fluted glass bar cabinet with integrated LED lighting, which is definitely one of my favourite features

Tomorrow, the stylist creates their magic and the homes will be ready for their first open for inspection. It’s always exciting seeing the drawings, samples and decisions come together into a finished space.

Good interior design for a residential development is about more than selecting beautiful finishes. It’s about making strategic design decisions that suit the market, support the value of the property and create a home buyers can picture themselves living in.
