New snack unlocked! Blanched and freeze-dried carrots! Sweet, crunchy, and ridiculously good! They were supposed to be for winter food storage, but apparently we’re eating our supplies now.

Now I’m thinking about experimenting with seasonings. What flavours should I try next? Now I want to do beets and potatoes too.

Happy thanksgiving friends. We have friends who we now call family joining us this year. There’s something special about sitting down to a meal I’ve spent months growing and preparing and sharing with people you love. I wish all my kids could be around the table, but I'm happy knowing they’re healthy and doing well. Good food, good friends and so much to be thankful for.
