There are only a few months in the year where I can find the time to post multiple times a week and January is one of them! Woohoo!!
I see small businesses posting photos of their families and all the other friendly faces behind the scenes in hopes to connect with their clients and followers on a more personal level. Unfortunately, I canβt post a picture of me with my whole family..
Because..
I possess very few photos of my family that include me in them. Why? First.. because Iβm usually the one taking the photo. Second.. Iβm very camera shy. In fact, if youβve ever ordered anything from me for pickup or delivery you will without a doubt have noticed that I avoid showing my face in almost all situations where itβs commonplace. To make my point even more clear.. last year I attended over 15 markets where I met a lot of people for the first timeβ¦ and a surprising amount of these 'new faces' had actually ordered from me in the past (sorry guys!)
To be fair β I never planned to work with the public. I started this crazy adventure in 2014 while on maternity leave, making small (poorly done and overly cheesy) woodburned signs for family and friends using wood scraps and a $30 woodburning tool from Canadian Tire. I eventually upgraded to a professional woodburning tool and then my first laser a couple years later.
I never thought we would be here today. Not only has a little hobby grown into something bigger, but so has my family of screech owls. While I donβt have a stunning family photo to share β I offer you all a poorly curated collage and a big thank you
