Vanda sanderiana, alba 💚

This show-stopping bloomer of pastel green on white is a perfect example of rarity in the orchid world 🌿 While it may be a novelty for us to find naturally green orchid flowers beyond the Phalaenopsis genus, this Vanda species (CITES Appendix II) famously checks the box, known for both its unique color pairing, and widespread foliage 🪴

Endemic to the Philippines, the Vanda sanderiana has long been treasured by its home and the people within it, its pink counterpart having been named the national orchid of the Philippines (Waling-Waling) 🌺

Several Vanda hybrids can be found with the influence of Vanda sanderiana in its pedigree, adopting either its two-tone colorations or eagle-like plant shape. But this alba version of the species stays true to its features, making it a must-have for collectors of all orchids 🇵🇭

Bulbophyllum rothschildianum 'Red Chimney' FCC/AOS 🌺

Highly awarded, and highly fragrant, this variety of the Bulbophyllum species (CITES Appendix II) is desired for its large umbells of deep maroon red, and its "rocking lip" in the presence of wind 🌸

This clone, apart from the sheer curious nature of its flowers, was highly awarded by the American Orchid Society, making it a novel orchid to collection, accompanied by a mild fruity/peachy fragrance - a rare pleasantry for the Bulbophyllum genus 🥰

Vanda Pachara Delight, Blue 💙

Even for those who get intimidated by starting a new genus, this Vanda hybrid (registered in 1999) is a bucket-list orchid for one main thing: the colour 💕

Considered a prolific and consistent bloomer, this hybrid is one of the many orchids that naturally showcases an indigo or often deep purple flower, undyed and untainted ✨ While lighting conditions can affect its color intensity, every flower comes out as a shade between purple and deep blue, making it even more special than it already is 🌺

This Polychilos Phalaenopsis is loved for both its robust foliage and striking colour combination 🥰 While its flowers are smaller than the typical Phalaenopsis orchid, its waxy petals and chocolate-y appearance give a unique contrast to its evergreen leaves 🪴

Phalaenopsis tetraspis 'Dark Brown with White' 🤎

Like all other Phalaenopsis tetraspis types, this variety - sporting brown and white alternations - is a fragrant Polychilus, almost always giving you a different flower each blooming cycle ✨

While some people might enjoy consist colorations on their orchid flowers, the tetraspis species (CITES Appendix II) is special, in that every bloom will look slightly different from the last, giving you a fragrant surprise each time 🥰
