Japanese knotweed is one of the most invasive plants in Nova Scotia. It can grow up to 8 cm (about 3 inches) per day and spreads from even tiny pieces of root.
Once it gets established, it is incredibly difficult to remove. At that point, a flamethrower starts to sound like a reasonable option... but unfortunately that’s not recommended. 😅
