A twin is only as true as its scan.
Most people see the AI layer and get excited. What they do not always see is the foundation underneath it. A digital twin predicting failure in a 40 to 60 kW rack is only as reliable as the reality it was built on.
That is where survey grade scanning earns its place. Weekly terrestrial scans verify as-built conditions against tight design tolerances, so when a liquid cooling retrofit gets modelled, the twin reflects the building that exists, not the building someone drew two years ago. Feed clean geometry in, and the predictive analytics that cut unplanned downtime actually hold up.
This is more than data collection. It is verification, confidence, and the front end of a twin your engineers can trust.
Bad ground truth is expensive. Good ground truth keeps the floor running.
