Today was a quick little one, a nice break from our huge-ass, never-ending list of large ICI jobs.

I actually like mixing jobs like this into the schedule. We definitely dont NEED the small ones, but they’re good for each crew!

Big commercial and industrial roofs can start feeling like they NEVER end. Same roof, day after day, week after week. Knocking out a smaller project, seeing it go from start to finish, and leaving with another completed roof behind us boosts morale and keeps the guys feeling productive.

Not to mention theres always different variables on smaller roofs. Teaches them more, in a shorter amount of time. Sometimes ill watch guys torch all week and finally hit one detail point. Jobs like these... are just detailing really.

Sometimes you need that quick win before getting back into the big stuff. 💪

I’m sure a lot of the flat roofers on here know exactly what I mean.

A woman who proved you can come from humble beginnings, work your ass off, stay true to where you came from and build something the whole world remembers. Her music, generosity and work ethic left one hell of a legacy.

She may have taught the world how to work 9 to 5…

Ripping up an old 4-ply built-up roof system isn’t light work. Layers of asphalt, felts, gravel and decades of material have to come up before the new roof can go down.

At Mapleview Flat Roofing, we don’t hide failing roofing systems underneath another layer. When the roof calls for a complete replacement, we tear it right back, expose the deck, address the problems underneath and rebuild it properly.
