Every child deserves to start their day with a full belly. This year, our annual Fall Fair & Pumpkin Grow-Off Competition is about so much more than pumpkins.
On October 3rd, we’re coming together as a community to support the School Breakfast Club of Cranbrook. Every donation made throughout the day will go directly toward helping provide breakfast to local children who may otherwise go to school without one.
No child should have to sit in a classroom with a growling stomach. No child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
And no child should have to miss out on being a kid because they started their day hungry.
We believe that our children are our future, and that caring for them is something we all share here in the Kootenays. When we make sure a child has breakfast, we’re giving them more than food. We’re giving them energy to learn, the ability to focus, a little more confidence, and the simple comfort of knowing that someone cares.
That’s what community is all about, isn’t it? Neighbours helping neighbours. Families coming together. Sharing what we have. And looking out for one another, especially for those who need it most.
So on October 3rd, we invite you to come spend the day with us. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your neighbours, and come celebrate the beautiful Kootenay community we’re so lucky to call home. And, most importantly, help us make a difference in the life of our local kids.
Because sometimes, something as simple as a breakfast can change the way a child starts their day, and maybe it will even change the way they see their world.
