Well, we found ourselves another worker, and it looks like Mother Nature is finally giving us a break! 🌤️

Today was all about yard cleanup and prep work so we can finish this siding without having to play dodge-the-rain every five minutes. 💪🏡

Not gonna lie... we absolutely love what we do, and we hope that passion shows in every project we take on. There's nothing better than watching an old home come back to life.

Oh... and one more exciting update... our website is being worked on where we havent had the time! 🚀

We can't wait to launch it and make it even easier for everyone to follow our projects and connect with Strachan Builders.

The reason we started Strachan Builders.

Since we began working in our community, we've come across far too many homes affected by poor workmanship. As compassionate general contractors, seeing this kind of work genuinely frustrates us. Homeowners work hard for their money and deserve quality that lasts.

This roof is only 2 years old. There is absolutely no reason it should be leaking like this.

After getting up on the roof to investigate, this is what we found.

Sadly, this is the second roof we've encountered with serious workmanship issues. Too many people in our community are paying thousands of dollars for work that simply isn't done properly.

Please do your homework before hiring a contractor. Ask for references, proof of insurance, and examples of previous work. A lower price today can become a much bigger expense tomorrow.

Well, Mother Nature has been throwing a few temper tantrums lately, so production hasn't been moving as quickly as we'd like. 🌧️⛈️

BUT... when we stop and look back, we've actually come a LONG way! 💪🏡

Every project has its setbacks, but we're proud of the progress we've made and we're excited to keep pushing forward. Thanks to everyone who's been following along and supporting Strachan Builders

We're getting there! 💪

We've been replacing the soffit, fascia, and fascia boards as we go. Since the windows weren't originally installed with siding in mind, we've had to remove and readjust them to accommodate the strapping before everything can be finished properly.

One thing we noticed? The previous installation used fast-expanding spray foam around the windows. 😫 That type of foam can continue expanding and put unnecessary pressure on window frames.

At Strachan Builders, we use low-expanding window and door foam because it's designed specifically for this application. It provides a proper seal without risking pressure where it doesn't belong.

We'll be re-foaming these windows the right way and making everything look clean and professional.

We're proud to be giving this well-known old eyesore a fresh new look. We may not have built it, but we're honoured to be part of its transformation. ❤️

✔️ Experience installing shingles ✔️ Experience with siding installation ✔️ General construction and carpentry skills ✔️ Reliable, hardworking, and willing to be part of a team
Pay is based on experience. If you bring solid skills and experience, we're happy to pay accordingly.

When we work, we like to see progress. Takes a bit of time, when we have to alter previous work, for it blend nice with our sidding. Our team is plugging away!

The heat allowed us to be productive longer than anticipated, and we will continue to do that till the job is done.

We are loving this new investment, but thunderstorms make this thing a lightning collector.
